I work at the intersection of GeoAI, satellite imagery, and spatial data science — applying machine learning to understand socioeconomic inequality, education systems, and development outcomes in low- and middle-income countries.

Focus Areas

What I work on

GeoAI for Socioeconomic Outcomes

Developing spatial deep learning methods that connect satellite imagery to poverty, education access, and inequality — with attention to the failure modes that arise when AI meets messy human geography.

Education Data Systems

Building and analyzing geocoded school databases across 23+ countries, studying how data quality, coordinate uncertainty, and EMIS reliability shape what we can learn about educational equity.

Spatial Data Uncertainty

Examining how imprecision in geolocation — from DHS geomasking to hundred-block address truncation — propagates through GeoAI pipelines and disproportionately affects marginalized communities.
